Demystifying Neville Goddard’s “Your Faith is Your Fortune”

Understanding Neville Goddard's teachings.

{{DATE}}

If you’ve ever tried to get into Neville Goddard’s works and found them hard to understand, you are certainly not alone.

When I first picked up his books, I could read the words but struggled to understand the actual message. In time, it began to make so much sense and I was able to apply in my own life really well.

This post is inspired from a podcast episode I did that discussed Neville’s Your Faith is Your Fortune Chapters 1 and 2.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what I discussed:

  1. The "I AM" Concept: At the core of Neville’s teachings is the idea that we start as unconditioned awareness of being ("I AM"). Through imagination, we condition this awareness into our self-concept and, ultimately, our reality.

  2. The Power of Imagination: Your beliefs about yourself—shaped by thoughts, feelings, and experiences—are what create your life circumstances.

  3. Self-Forgiveness is Key: It’s not about blaming yourself for everything that happens but understanding how experiences shape your self-concept. Forgiveness helps you move forward.

  4. Practical Learning Tips: I recommend reading Neville’s work alongside listening to audio versions. This dual approach made a huge difference for me.

  5. Personal Reflections: I’ve faced trauma and heartbreak, and while I don’t believe I "created" those events, I’ve learned to use them to grow into the person I am today.

Neville’s ideas aren’t always easy to digest, but they can be life-changing once you start to grasp them.
